A visit to one of the colourful markets in the larger towns should
be on the to do list. The markets overflow with wafts of Indian
spices, fruit and vegetables, fish and kava in all its forms, especially
on the weekend. Fijian artwork is also worth a look: carved wooden
kava bowls, war clubs and cannibal cutlery are sold in all of the
bigger souvenir shops, as well as woven mats, bags and baskets in
the style of the South Pacific.
