Climate, Weather
The climate in the Cook Island is tropical all year round. The rainy season from November to May can bring heavy rain and tropical storms although they are very rare in the Cook Islands. The temperature is around 27 degrees Celsius and humidity is high. From May to Oktober the air is dry with less rain and much cooler especially at night. Temperatures can go down to 17 degrees sometimes.

Shopping
The Cook Islands offer a wide range of beautiful souvenirs. Apart from the South Pacific shellfish jewellery and woven fans and bags, there are bright sarongs (Pareos), perfumed soaps and wood carvings. However, the most popular souvenirs are the black pearls from the Manihiki lagoon.
