Pacific Ocean between the continents of Asia and America.
The inhabitants of approximately 25,000 islands belong to
three major cultur groups: Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia.
Polynesia extends over the islands of Hawaii,
New Zealand, Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, the Cook Islands,
Niue, French Polynesia (Tahiti), Tokelau, Wallis & Futuna,
Tuvalu, Pitcairn and Easter Island. Melanesia in the Eastern
